Church Leadership

We are truly blessed to have Church Leadership dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His Will.  It is through their devotion to Him that Living Waters Assembly of God is able to accomplish such great things within our church family, surrounding communities, and across the globe. They have each answered a call to serve Jesus Christ, and we are grateful for their service.

Following are brief biographies of our ministerial team, as well as information about other church leaders.

David & Carol Levandusky

Senior Pastor

Pastor David Levandusky was appointed to serve as Living Waters Assembly of God's Senior Pastor on September 1, 1989.

The attributes that best describe  Pastor David  as a pastor are strong preaching, leadership development and counseling. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Living Waters Assembly of God, where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them, and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Pastor David  takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the few free hours of his day focused on personal Prayer and Bible study.

He attended Zion Bible College in East Providence, Rhode Island, from 1967-1969.  He graduated from Faith School of Theology in December 1976, and pursued his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from  The American Bible College and Seminary  located in Oklahoma in  May 1998, with a degree in Pastoral Christian Counseling.

His precious wife Carol has served with him in family and Church ministry work for 52 years. She has worked with children's ministries, visitation, hospitality, and multiple ministry areas, unseen by most in the church. Pastor David calls her the glue in the family and ministry that holds most of it together.

They have three grown children and two grandchildren all of whom are serving the Lord.

Tony Cruz and Keila Santana

Assistant Pastor

Tony and his wife, Keila, and their two daughters, have been members of Living Waters Assembly of God for many years, serving in various capacities throughout the years.

Tony currently serves as Assistant Pastor for the Church, and is Pastor David's right-hand man. Tony leads a men's Bible study once per month, and also preaches Sunday and Wednesday evening services regularly. He is a passionate believer, who is baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire. Luke 3:16 "John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I comes, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and fire."

Keila has been equally involved in the church. She has a passion for Christ, and for feeding the community through our "Be Filled" ministry, as well as other catering events for the community and church, including the yearly Thanksgiving Day dinner on the church property. Her strong faith in Christ has prepared her for teaching Children's Church, which she does on a regular basis.

We are truly blessed to call Pastor Tony and Keila our family in Christ.

Deacons

Dennis Churchill, Stephen Richards, Tony Cruz and David Chaplin.

Our deacons are God's gift to the the Pastoral ministry.

The first deacons in the early church were selected to free the Apostles from having to meet the physical and social needs of the very many needy individuals and families, so they could give themselves to continual prayer and the ministry of God's Word. The Apostles selected seven individuals who were saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit, of honest report and full of faith and wisdom, to help meet the needs of those in the church and community who were being neglected in the daily distribution of food and financial needs.

At Living Waters Assembly of God, they serve as the watchful eyes of the church family,  attending to the spiritual, physical, financial and social needs of individuals who request help. More importantly, they are ever-observant and on the lookout for those in need, who may not know how to ask.

They are men and women of prayer, faithfully studying God's Word, and regular church attendees, performing at-home or hospital visitations, as needed, and also serving their own families well.

While pastors are God's gift to the Church, deacons  are God's gifts to the Pastors. At Living Waters Assembly of God, they are also advisors to the Pastor in official Board matters.

We are truly blessed  to have such highly-spiritual and charitable church leaders.

Church secretary/treasurer

Jodi Chaplin has served as Church Secretary/Treasurer since May 2021. She has taken on the role gracefully, with a yearning to serve the Lord, and has adapted very quickly to the multitude of responsibilities required from the position.

We look forward to her manifold work with great appreciation.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

To the Left: Barbara Sund, Director of our Operation Christmas Child ministry, along with her faithful husband and worker, Verne Sund.

Barbara has directed the Living Waters Assembly of God Operation Christmas Child ministry for several years, along with a committed crew of volunteers, providing hundreds of Christmas shoe boxes filled with necessities and gifts of all kinds, as well as the Gospel Story of Jesus Christ.

Operation Christmas Child reaches children in the United States and all over the world, and is a minsitry of Samaritan's Purse.

GRIEFSHARE MINISTRY

Barbara Sund is also the Director of our GriefShare program, a 13-week support group for those experiencing the loss of a loved one or friend.

So many have come to the support groups to find healing and hope through one of the most needed ministries a church could offer.

A team of several facilitators are trained and well qualified to bring the comforting minsitry of Jesus to those whom are grieving.

Special thanks to Sam Pyfrom, Nina Richards, Pam Taylor and Grace Cushing, for their expertise in facilitating this ministry.

Please see our Missions page here for more information about our missions and ministries.

Worship TEAM

Our Worship Team is a talented group, who are filled with the Holy Spirit. Their music in our Worship Service brings the entire congregation into an atmosphere of the manifest presence of God.

The team members are Worship Leader David Chaplin, Diane Prouix, Michael Jean, Katrina Richotte, and Nancy Hill. Barbara Sund leads our Wednesday evening worship, as well as various other talented church members who participate in our Sunday and/or Wednesday evening worship.

If you have a musical talent, and would like to be on the Church Worship Team, or maybe just perform at a Worship Service, please speak to a Worship Team member or Church Leader.

HOSPITALITY TEAM

Church hospitality is an important function at any church. The hospitality team provides kitchen assistance during potluck dinners, fellowship, special gatherings, events, and more. They are often the first to arrive and the last to leave church functions, and are sometimes underappreciated.

We truly treasure and appreciate our Hospitality Team: Nina Richards, Carol Levandusky, and various other volunteers.

We are always looking for new people to join the team. Talk to someone at church if you think you might be interested.

TECHNICAL CREW

We give special appreciation to our broadcasting, audio/visual and technical crew: Andy Hill, Joe Morton, Jacob Guillemette, and most recently Tony Cruz, who are responsible for all aspects of technical matters, live streaming, Youtube, and the Radio Station. Through their devotion to Jesus Christ, we are able to reach people with God's Word outside of our own neighborhood, and even outside of our own country. We are grateful for their service and sacrifices for the Lord.

OUR MAINTENANCE TRUSTEES

Every church needs those who care for and maintain the physical properties of the church. Our Maintenance Trustees are the ones who make the church property inviting and welcoming for worshippers.

They do it all: Plowing snow and salting sidewalks, mowing the grass in the summer, church housekeeping, property repairs and landscaping.

Give them all a big thank you when you meet them. Their service to Living Waters Assembly of God fulfills the Bible admonition "beautify the House of the LORD."  Ezra 7:27.

Maintenance Trustees serve on a four-year rotating basis. A special appreciation to those serving this term: Vern Sund, Sam Pyfrom, Joyce Politis, and Nina Richards.  Our lifetime Honorary Trustees are Roger Chaplin and Terry Renaud.

If you have a special skill or talent and would like to serve the Church in any of these areas, please contact us at (413) 773-9506, or see a Church Leader.
